Naoshima, Japan

A very good friend of mine, CC, is a guru when it comes to finding incredible and unique holiday destinations. In fact, holiday seems like such an inadequate description because I have felt so inspired on these trips that it is more transformative than ‘zoning out’.

In July I visited Naoshima (a fishing island located in Seto Inland Sea) and was mesmerised by the beauty of it- the architecture, the people, the journey – it felt like a pilgrimage (Tadao Ando!) and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
